Accessibility Statement
Version 1.0 · Last updated 1 November 2026
1. Our commitment to accessibility
HackGrade is an online service that checks the security and compliance of websites. We want everyone, including people with disabilities, to be able to use it equally, independently and comfortably. We work to make hackgrade.com accessible in line with Israel's Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 1998, and the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 2013.
2. Accessibility level and standard
In our assessment, the site meets Israeli Standard IS 5568 Part 1 at level AA (the standard is based on the W3C's WCAG 2.0 guidelines), except for the limitations listed in section 5. We also checked the site against WCAG 2.1 level AA. This is our own self-assessment; it was not carried out by a certified accessibility auditor or an external testing body.
3. Accessibility adjustments on the site
- A "Skip to content" link at the start of every page.
- The page language and text direction (right-to-left for Hebrew) are set on every page, in all six languages of the site.
- Everything can be operated with a keyboard, including the menus, the language menu, pop-up dialogs and forms, with a clearly visible focus indicator.
- Pop-up dialogs keep focus inside them, close with the Esc key and return focus to where they were opened.
- Every form field has a label. Error messages are announced by screen readers, linked to the relevant field, and focus moves to that field.
- Buttons and icons have accessible names and images have text alternatives. Decorative icons are hidden from screen readers.
- A logical heading structure and marked page regions (navigation, main content and footer).
- Colour contrast at level AA in both light and dark mode. The site switches to dark mode automatically based on your operating system setting.
- Support for zooming up to 200% and for narrow screens down to 320 pixels, without horizontal scrolling or loss of content or functions.
- The operating system's "reduce motion" setting is respected.
4. How the site was tested
The latest review took place on 1 November 2026 in all six languages of the site, in light and dark mode, at mobile and desktop screen widths. It included automated testing with axe-core and manual checks: keyboard navigation, focus visibility, pop-up dialogs, error messages, zoom and reduced motion. Testing was done in a Chromium-based browser (such as Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge). We have not yet tested the site with every common screen reader, so please tell us about any difficulty you run into.
5. Known limitations and third-party content
- The word "Grade" in the logo is shown in our brand colour, whose contrast is below 4.5:1. Logos are exempt from the contrast requirement, and the service name is also available as accessible text.
- Downloadable PDF reports (on paid plans) have not yet been fully checked for accessibility. All of their information is also available in the report on the site, and on request we will send it to you in an accessible format.
- Third-party services the site links to, such as the payment provider's checkout page, sign-in with Google, Microsoft or GitHub, and links to external websites, are not under our control; their accessibility is the responsibility of their operators.
We have not received, and do not rely on, any exemption from accessibility adjustments for the site.
6. Service accessibility arrangements
HackGrade is provided online only. We have no office, branch or physical service point open to the public, so there are no physical accessibility arrangements. The whole service, support and all enquiries are available on the site, in the support chat and by email.
7. Accessibility feedback and contact
Have you found an accessibility problem or a component that isn't accessible, or do you need an adjustment or information in another format? We'd like to hear from you and help. Requests are handled by HackGrade's accessibility coordinator:
- Email: support@hackgrade.com. You can write "Accessibility" in the subject line.
- The support chat on the site: Support page.
To help us deal with your request quickly, please describe the problem and include the page address, what you were trying to do, and the browser, device or assistive technology you used. You can also send a notice of non-conformity under regulation 35A(d)(1) of the Regulations to these contact details. We will confirm that we received your message, reply as soon as possible and fix reported issues within a reasonable time, and no later than 60 days.
8. Updates to this statement
This statement was last updated on 1 November 2026. We will update it after significant changes to the site, and at least once a year. The Hebrew version of this statement is the primary version.
